Message from Kristin

Dear Supporters and Voters,

Thank you so much to everyone who gave money or time to my campaign for Snohomish County Council District 5. It was disappointing to see the low voter turnout, but I truly appreciate everyone who did vote for me!

I just called Sam Low to congratulate him on his win and thanked him for a clean campaign that focused on the issues. I also asked him to consider almost 13,000 voters in our district who voted for me because they support the issues I campaigned on. He said he would meet with me anytime and any of my voters on any issue. Still, as we know, those who voted for Sam will have his ear more than my voters.

My hope is that the momentum for the campaign will not dwindle away and that many of my voters will continue to help me with success in smart land use planning, environmental protections for our water quality and wildlife and fish habitat, farms and forest protections, affordable housing, and transportation solutions, which I will continue to work on as Smart Growth Executive Director for Pilchuck Audubon Society. If you want to be part of this important work in 2018, please contact me at, and consider joining Pilchuck Audubon Society at the low cost of $28 a year! Success needs more than just my voice! Visit to read our monthly newsletters and to find out more about all the wonderful work Pilchuck Audubon Society is doing for birds and conservation.

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Most sincerely,
